The fence line is measured and walked with you: corners, gates, slopes, trees and anything in the way, plus property lines and city or HOA rules.
You get a quote that spells out the materials, height, length, gates and how the posts will be set, so it's easy to compare.
Underground lines are marked through 811 before digging, then posts are set and panels, rails and gates go up. The site is cleaned up when the work is done.

Wood gives a classic look and full privacy but needs staining or sealing every few years. Vinyl costs more up front and needs little more than washing.
